Rules and Regulations

|
During the studies in the College, the students are expected to evince a high sense
of discipline and good behavior.
The students shall not take part in any political activity nor shall they indulge
in the subversive and anti-social activities.
No student of the college shall accept or retain full time job during the period
of his/her studies in the institution.
No student of the college shall appear in any other examination of any university/
institution as long as he/she is undergoing the studies.
A student remaining on unauthorized absence continuously for 15 days shall be liable
to be struck off the roll. An absence fine of Rs.5/per day shall be charged from
those who remain absent or miss a lecture on working days.
For eligibility to sit in the University examination at least 75% of the attendance in lectures is required in each paper.
Student are expected to obey instructions as are notified from time to time. The
head of the institution can fine a student, suspend him/her and in serious case,
even rusticate him/her from the college. The Head of the institution is the final
authority in all such cases. Strict disciplinary action shall be taken against students
who remain habitually absent or who do not appear in the assignment tests conducted
by the College.
The final interpretation of the rules and regulations lies with the college authorities.
The institution reserves the right to change the rules and regulations mentioned
here (except, University rules) from time to time without giving any prior notice.
Students are advised to carefully read all the rules and regulations and strictly
follow them. After admission of students it shall be taken for granted that all
rules have been properly read by them. No excuse shall be entertained on this account
later on.
Students are expected to follow the schedule of activities or calendar framed for
the college and take part in curricular and co-curricular activities as per instructions
of the teachers and authorities.
Proceeding on long leave, abstaining from classes, especially before/ after summer/winter
breaks shall be construed as an act of wilful neglect for which heavy fine and/or
disciplinary action shall be taken against the defaulters.
All students are expected to perform some duties/activities in the college/institutional
functions such as NSS activities and other socially useful activities. Any unwillingness
to come for rehearsals etc. before and after the college time or during holidays
etc. shall be dealt with strictly.
Early student after admission found indulging in undesirable activities inside or
outside the college, will be removed from college rolls without any prior notice.
The principal will be the sole authority in this connection whose decision shall
be final and binding.
Library is fully equipped with textbooks and reference books having number more
than the requirement of the students and open accounts system is introduced for
the convenience of the students.
The books will be issued to a trainee on Production of library card issued to him/her
at the start of the academic session. In case the card is lost, the student should
bring this to the notice of the librarian at once, to avoid any misuse of the card.
Duplicate card will be issued on payment of the prescribed fee after proper verification.
Books are issued for a period of 7 days only and a fine of Rs.1/ per day per book
shall be charged after the due date.
Books lost or damaged in anyway shall have to be replaced by the borrower failing
which double the cost of the book shall be charged. The borrower should satisfy
himself/herself about the sound conditions of the book before leaving the counter.
Reference books, rare books, books specially reserved and periodicals will not be
issued for home use. These can be consulted only within the library premise.
Students can borrow only two books from the library at a time.
Strict silence shall be observed in the library and reading room. Students shall
not take their personal. Belongings/books inside the library.
All library books/journals etc. shall have to be returned after the completion of
session and students shall be required to produce a 'No Dues' slip from the librarian
at the time of issue of roll number slips.
The librarian shall keep a record of all the books issued.
All books shall be returned to the librarian whenever a notice is served by the
Principal/Librarian's for stock checking.
Library Security
Every student seeking admission in the college is required to deposit a sum of Rs.
500/- (Five hundred) as security which will be refunded in full (without interest)
at the time of leaving the college.
Refund of Security
The amount of security deposited shall be refunded on satisfying the following conditions.
The original receipt should be attached with the application for refund. Alternatively,
an affidavit sworn before a Public Notary on a non-judicial stamp paper would have
to be produced in the office to claim security amount. "No Dues Slip" issued from
the college office library should be produced to confirm that all dues till date
have been cleared regarding library, laboratory, college fee, NSS, Hostel fee and
other sports dues etc.
Visitors are normally not allowed to meet the trainees during College hours. However,
parents/guardians can meet the principal of the college from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. in
his/her office on all working days.
It has been observed that parents/guardians under one or the other pretext try to
contact Principal to allow their wards to attend various functions. This practice
definitely mars the effective teaching learning process of the college as well as
that of students: The parents should not, therefore, resort to such practice unless
some compelling situation demands.
The college is running its own hostels both for boys as well as girls. The hostels
are managed by different committees constituted
for the purpose. Whole time wardens
look after the hostel affairs. The Hostel facilities will be provided to the desirous
students. Their conduct and behavior will be governed by the Hostel rules reproduced
hereunder:-
A student who has been admitted to the hostel shall not claim allotment of a particular
room to him/her nor he/she be allowed to shift from the seat allotted to him/her
to another seat. The warden shall however, have the right to shift a boarder from
one room to another in the interest of discipline.
No boarder should leave the hostel to live temporarily elsewhere.
All the boarders going out of the hostel except to their respective classes, will
sign the register and fill in details.
Prior permission should be obtained from the warden before leaving the station/hostel.
No boarder is allowed to see relatives during the college hours in the hostel except
in emergency cases and that too only with the permission of the Principal.
No boarder will absent himself/herself from the classes without informing the warden.
No visitor will be allowed except father, mother, whose photographs are fixed and
specimen signature shown in the hostel register/hotel admission form. No guardian
will be permitted to stay in the hoste1.
Warden can search the room of boarder at any time without prior intimation.
Warden may send a confidential report regarding the behavior of the boarder to the
principal and after three such reports the admission will stand cancelled automatically.
In case of illness of any inmate, it is the duty of the wing monitor to report the
matter to the warden.
Boarder committing misconduct/disobedience to the hostel authorities and breach
of hostel rules shall be liable to fine, suspension or removal from the hostel.
Boarder should not patronize peddlers, dhobis etc. unless they have permission from
the warden, Generally, no unauthorized person will bellowed to enter the hostel.
The roll call shall be daily at 7-30 P.M. in 'summer and 6 P.M. in winter. The warden
shall, however, check boarder any time she/he deems fit.
Late leave should be given by the warden under special circumstances, which will
not extend beyond
9 P.M.
No boarder will be permitted to enter the hostel after roll call unless he/she produces
the written permission of the warden.
No waste paper of any type of rubbish is to be thrown out in the hostel compound.
Electric bulbs should not exceed 100watt. Any bulb with a greater rating will be
confiscated. Use of electric heater, kettle, and other similar electrical appliances
is strictly forbidden.
When a boarder goes out of the room she/he should see that the light is switched
off. In case of default, a fine of Rs. 5/- per day will be charged from the boarder.
No visitor will be allowed to visit the boarder in her/his room except with the
permission of the warden. The boarders are not allowed to keep any guest overnight.
Such boarders as are given permission by the warden to have a guest will have to
make a payment at the rate to be fixed by the warden from time to time.
Boarders will be required to sign receipt for items of furniture and fitting to
be used by them. They will be responsible for any damage done to doors, Windows,
glass panes, furniture and fittings, and other hostel property in the room. Every
boarder should hand over the charge of furniture of the room to the warden/hostel
clerk while leaving the hostel at the end of the session.
Each boarder will be provided with steel almirah and bed.
Cases of ordinary illness should immediately be reported to the monitor. In cases
of serious illness, the warden should be immediately informed.
Boarders cannot stay in the hostel during vacation except with the permission of
the principal.
While leaving during vacation, boarders must lock the room and keep the keys with
the warden.
The boarders should not bring any costly jewellery or valuable articles with them.
They should take proper precaution safeguard their belongings. Any theft, however,
should be reported immediately to the warden.
Ragging in the hostel is strictly prohibited. Any boarder of the hostel indulging
in ragging is liable to be expelled from the hostel.
Hostel fees should be paid in advance at the time of admission. Mess charges are
also to be paid in advance.
If the amount of food bill of any boarder remains unpaid for a period of one month,
he/she will not be allowed to dine in the mess. If he/she does not pay all the dues
before she proceeds for vacation, he/she will be asked to vacate the seat occupied
by her forthwith. Such student shall not be admitted after the vacation.
A boarder who violates any of the above rules or who is found guilty of misconduct
or misbehavior will be liable to disciplinary action under rules.
In case boarder is asked to vacate the hostel on disciplinary or administrative
grounds, he/she shall have to do
so immediately failing which the Principal by virtue
of powers vested in him/her will break open the lock and throw out her/his belongings
without any compensation whatsoever.
Identity Cards
Each trainee shall furnish three copies of her/his passport size photographs to
the librarian to have an Identity Card made in his/her name. This card will be treated
as a valid document of the bonafide trainee of the college and will entitle him/her
to various privileges besides library membership.
Uniform
As prescribed by the college Authorities for summer and winter months. No student
will be allowed to enter the college without uniforms.
Fee
The examination fee and other dues, including library security etc. shall be deposited
in the college within a week of admission or as permitted by the Management.
